Calstone Universal Bonding Mortar (UBM)

Calstone Universal Bonding Mortar (UBM) is a polymer-modified cement/lime/sand masonry mortar designed to suit the broadest range of masonry construction and veneer applications possible. UBM is a true "Universal" masonry mortar. Suitable for many applications including standard CMU wall construction, natural and/or manufactured veneer bonding, brick masonry, base/scratch coats, setting beds, pointing mortar, coping, paver, and stone overlays.

• Meets or exceeds ASTM C270 property requirements for Type S, M, and N masonry mortars.
• Conforms to ASTM C1714 for pre-blended dry mortar mix for masonry
• Meets or exceeds the ASTM C1384 for bond enhancement
• Meets or exceeds ANSI 118.1 for standard non-sag dry set cement mortar. Meets or exceeds ANSI 118.4 for modified non-sag dry set cement mortar
• Meets all mortar requirements of ASTM C1780 standard installation methods for adhered manufactured stone

Calstone Type S

Calstone Type S cement/lime/sand mortar meets or exceeds ASTM C270 property requirements for Type "S" masonry mortar. One 80lb mortar bag will install approximately 17-20 concrete block or cover approximately 25 square feet as a mortar bed 1/2" thick. The approximate yield is 0.61 cubic feet per bag. Our mortar is stocked in Gray, Tan, and White. We also have special order colors that match our CMU. Customer specified color matching or development is available upon request.

Calstone Type M

Calstone Type M cement/lime/sand mortar meets or exceeds ASTM C270 property requirements for Type "M" high strength masonry mortar. One 80lb mortar bag will install approximately 17-20 concrete block or cover approximately 25 square feet as a mortar bed 1/2" thick. Calstone Self-Consolidating Grout

Calstone Self-Consolidating Grout is designed to completely fill cores in masonry units at a higher rate of flow than standard masonry grout without the need for mechanical vibration. Our Self Self-Cponsoldiating Grout also conforms to ASTM C-476. One 80 lb bag fills approximately 2.8 standard 8x8x16 concrete blocks.

The VBM-VP Installation System offers a broad selection of high-quality products and installation specifications for the bonding of masonry veneers and pavers. VBM, VBM 300, VBM 500, and VBM LFT are available in 50lb bags.
